What Is Breathwork & Why Do We Need It?

Unresolved trauma in your past can make you feel stuck and unsure as to why you can’t move on. Integrative Breathwork therapy with Spiraldance Breathwork™ utilizes a somatic approach for trauma integration and stress release to re-pattern the body-mind system.

Breathwork with Spiraldance Breathwork™ utilizes a facilitated conscious, circular breath which can sometimes bring about mystical experiences or support direct heart-opening experience of Divine Love and help you connect to your intuition. Sessions are a wonderful compliment to traditional talk therapy. 

As we all know, stress in our life can have an adverse effect on our well-being. Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, depressed, stuck, confused, stressed often make us hold our breath to manage life’s stressors until we feel we can’t get a deep enough breath. Sometimes in the sessions my body starts vibrating like the voltage has been turned way up and I can feel all sorts of old sh*t just clearing out. Other times, I enter a realm of deep peace and see my life with perfect clarity. My last session with Tania was so special. When we breathe with and through life’s difficulties, we build resilience for our life, create new neural pathways, and interrupt automatic prefrontal cortex amygdala response- ie. the stress response.

By making the choice to breathe, we retrain our nervous system to adapt to various sensations and then our natural breath can be more full, deep and relaxed.

Contraindications

Please notify Spiraldance Breathwork of any pertinent medical history and/or current medical condition including if you are or suspect you may be pregnant, have any significant recent physical injuries or recent surgeries, or have history of cardiovascular disease, including angina or heart attack or have had or currently experiencing hypertension/high blood pressure.

Please be advised, Spiraldance Breathwork sessions are not recommended for anyone who has had/currently experiencing:

  • Epilepsy or seizures

  • Recent concussion

  • Mental diagnosis such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and/or severe psychosis resulting in long-term medical hospital or long-term psychiatric care

Methods of Breathwork used in your Breathwork Session appointment may include, but are not limited to, deeper and faster breathing.
